Fundraisers

Home

“Why do we do fundraisers?”  We pride ourselves on the fact that our program has been in this community for 40 years.  Many of our staff have been with us for over 10 years and we are constantly striving to provide your child with the best possible experience while making sure that our program is accessible to everyone.  To do that, we work to keep our costs low, our tuition rates in line with other programs, and provide  scholarships to families in need.  Tuition is our sole source of income – it pays for teacher salaries, craft supplies, new equipment and provides for the countless little things it takes to keep a school going.
We have two major fundraisers each year - Deck the Halls and Spring Bloom.  These are the only two things that we ask all of our families to participate in.  We also have several other opportunities for you to help St. Andrew - from clipping soup labels to planning your shopping trips.  Check out all the ways you can help St. Andrew.  Thanks!

                                                                                MAIN FUNDRAISERS

 a.        Deck The Halls (click here to order on-line!)

This is our 2nd year selling LIVE wreaths and greenery for holiday decorating.  These gorgeous fragrant offerings are a beautiful addition to your home or to send to a loved one or business partner - delivery is available anywhere in the continental United States!  You can choose to pick up your items at our school (Nov. 30th - Dec. 6th), or pay a little more and have them delivered through the Direct Delivery Gift System.  Please view the full color pictures on the on-line order form.  If you wish to purchase in bulk, please call (317) 925-7679 for special pricing.  Please note that no trees are killed in the making of these items.  All come from cuttings from young healthy plants.

If you live in the Indianapolis area, we will have a sample wreath at school from October 13th through the 28th - come check it out!!

 b.        Spring Bloom (click here to order on-line!)

Our most beautiful fundraiser begins in early to mid-March.  We offer gorgeous landscape quality flats,  flowering baskets, perennials, vegetables, and a wide variety of planters.  We take orders through March 24th.   Delivery day will be April 29, 2009.  We love to see the local neighborhoods beautified by our 2nd big fundraiser of the year.

                                                                                   OTHER OFFERINGS

 a.       Campbell’s "Labels for Education"

This fundraiser requires little money, time, or effort.  All you do is save the labels, lids, or proofs of purchase from products you already buy.  Simply drop them into the collection bins at the north and south doors - the school gets to order toys, science supplies, and outdoor activities.   Click (here) for a list for eligible products.  It’s the simplest thing yet!

bSCRIP (click here to order on-line!)

This is an opportunity for you to donate money to the school through your family’s normal activities – eating out, grocery and clothes shopping, fixing up your house or yard, etc.  You choose from over 120 gift certificates to your favorite stores or restaurants such as Old Navy, Lowes, or Outback.    You purhcase certificates for their face value and the merchant offers a % kickback to the school that costs you nothing.  You don’t spend money on anything you wouldn’t normally, but you get to give money to the school.  We will be ordering SCRIP the second Monday of each month and will do special orders during the month of December.  View participating merchants by clinking the link above.

d.     Simon Mall's "Evening of Giving"

This is a fantastic evening of "shop till you drop" with free food and entertainment and great deals!  You get to shop in the mall after hours - only your ticket can get you in to this exciting event!  The Evening of Giving is an opportunity to receive fabulous discounts and deals at either the Greenwood Park Mall or The Fashion Mall at Keystone.  Tickets are $10 a ticket and you can shop, eat, listen and give back to the community all at the same time.  $7 from each ticket benefits our school and the other $3 goes to Simon Youth Foundation.  See a board member or the school office for your ticket.  The 2008 Evening of Giving will be Sunday, November 23rd.  Families are welcome.

e.  Christmas Basket Auction
The best night of the year is our Christmas Program on Tuesday, December 16th.  Our school children will practice for months and come dressed in their finery to entertain you.  After the program, we will have cookies and punch in Fellowship Hall and also run our annual Christmas Basket Auction.  We have a silent auction format with themed baskets ranging form $15 to $100 in value.  All proceeds go to benefit our teacher appreciation fund.  Come and join us as we celebrate the season and enjoy an evening together!
