This is a special split class for three and four year olds. Both ages will play together and learn from each other as new concepts are introduced.

Our main goal, during this year, is to develope the social skills your preschoolder will need for future success. By providing a myriad of interactive opportunities, children are guided in developing these skills. Walking in line, listening, taking turns, sharing, using good manners, and expressing ideas/feelings verbally are skills encouraged every day as children move about the classroom from one of the following learning centers to another:

1. Building: large Lego's and magnetic blocks, cars, trucks, and planes
2. Craft: variety of artistic media
3. Homemaking: dress-up, dolls, and kitchen
4. Library: books for all seasons and interests
5. Manipulative Table: puzzles, geo-boards, etc.
6. Pazoo Corner: learning through puppetry

In addition to social skills, the following academic skills will be emphasized: 1. Recognizing and spelling own name 2. Knowing eight basic colors 3. Knowing five basic shapes 4. Identifiying body parts 5. Identifying five senses 6. Recognizing numbers 1 - 10 7. Reciting the days of the week 8. Letter recognition 9. Writing own name Our friendly puppet, Mr. Pazoo, will assist the teachers in developing these concepts with a variety of musical and fun activities.
